The Monday Morning Quadrant Meeting at Hardy Memorial will be held as usual for the Texarkana area on Monday Jan 25. Pastors have the choice of attending either the Quadrant meeting or the workshop at Gladewater with Dr. Jerry DeSobe.
This is a follow up to last weeks post about the Dealing with Difficult Parishoners Workshop
Dr. Jerry DeSobe will be at Gladewater First UMC to present a workshop on “Dealing with Difficult Parishioners” on Monday, January 25. The time will be 10:00 am till 2 pm with a lunch. This is a free workshop with a donation accepted for lunch. This is usually the regular meeting of the Texarkana Quadrant Meeting at Hardy Memorial UMC. however, if there is more interest in meeting with Jerry DeSobe than in a regular quadrant meeting we will cancel the quadrant meeting. Those in the Texarkana Quadrant, please let the district office know of your desire. Thank you
The Mt. Pleasant quadrant will host leadership training on Jan 10 from 2:30-4:30 at First UMC – Pittsburg. We are hoping to have workshops for the following: lay leaders, lay leadership development, sprc, trustees, missions, finance, evangelism, christian education, children’s ministry, youth ministry, adult ministry, communications, and worship. Bill Taylor will be our speaker, and will lead the sprc workshop. And we will have copies of the UM guidelines to pass out to all the committee members present.
But here’s where I need your help:
We are trying to find the best leaders in these various committees from our district to lead the workshops. If you know someone who is doing a great job in one of these areas (or who has done a great job recently) and who could lead and inspire others, and direct one of these workshops, could you please give me names and contact info asap?
