It's Hurricane Season Again!
The District Missional Excellence Team is
working to have an emergency preparedness profile of our district.
They need YOU to fill out the Emergency
Preparedness Survey ASAP so we know what
we can do where - if & when tragedy strikes.
This hurricane
season is proving to be busy. Communication during these
times is vitally important to both understand and respond to
special needs in our district. In order to provide the best, most
timely help we can as United
Methodist Congregations, the North District Offices are
requesting that all churches respond to this by
providing the following answers:
Are you\will you, or
your community, housing evacuees: how many and where?
Can your church provide volunteers to work in active shelters:
how many and for how long?
Are there any needs you have as a church or community during
hurricane evacuations?
Are there any 'clean-up' efforts that might need to take place
in your community: where/when/what type?
Please respond by typing in your answers and sending to the
District Office that is sending this email out to you.
