Please keep in your prayers the family of Rev. Michael Fraley, his wife Lisa passed away on Sunday, February 28 at home. The funeral will be in Orange, Texas. Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. at First UMC Orange, Visitation at Claybar Funeral Home from 5 -7 PM on Thursday (funeral home is located next to the church in Orange) Memorial service at Naples FUMC on Sunday, March 7 at 4 PM.

Rev. John Nihart, retired local pastor, passed away last week. Rev. Nihart resided in a nursing home in Longview.

Rev. Curtis Jennings will conduct his last service this Sunday, March 7 at Harleton UMC has he re-enters retirement at age 90.

Lynn Bristow, son of retired pastor Rev.Durwood and Janice Bristow, is in the hospital in Tyler due to a heart attack over the weekend. He will have triple bypass surgery this week.

Rev. Dave Avis of Douglassville and Union Chapel UMCs will undergo quadruple bypass surgery on Wednesday at Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview.

Pray for Kathy Wootten, youth director at First UMC in Pittsburg. She’s having surgery for possible colon cancer Tuesday afternoon in Tyler.

Retired pastor Rev. Emmitt Barrow has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which has spread to his lungs. Cards of support are welcome and can be mailed to Emmitt and his wife Anne at 1415 Emerald, Longview 75605. Anne is at Summer Meadows Nursing Home on Hollybrook off of Judson Rd. in Longview recuperating from surgery. You will likely find Emmitt there most of the day.

Yvonne Garrett, retired Local Pastor living in Nacogdoches, had a stroke today. She is in a Nacogdoches hospital. Please keep her and her family in your prayers. She is the mother of Rev. Forrest Garrett – FUMC, Texarkana, TX.

Rev. Chuck and Kathy Huffman – Tennison, Mt. Pleasant – give praise to God in celebration of the birth of their 4th grandchild (first grandson)! Koen Timothy Huffman was born on Jan. 13 in Kansas City to Rev. Eric Huffman and Rev. Geovanna Chavez Huffman. All are doing well!
